Francophony: creation of the Group of support of July first, 2018

The big spoken languages worldwide are English, Chinese, Arabic, Spanish, Russian, French …
Only some languages have a universal influence, by being present on five continents, and by being recognized as a language of widely usual intermediation between vernacular languages.

English answers this characteristic today.

French, Indo-European language, having gradually integrated numerous elements of the other languages Celtic, Greek, Latin, Arabic, answers still partially this characteristic.

The diversity is source of civilization and wealth for the ways of thinking and action.

To leave the unique place in English as universal language would constitute a backward drop of civilization.

To consolidate French as a universal language would open the way to the universal character in other languages.

By the diversity of ways and cultures so supported, the support of the Francophony contributes to forge the capacity of the vernacular, local and regional languages, to protect their existence and their development.

The defense of the Francophony is so an act resisting against any attempt of hegemony or imperialism which would want to impose a single path, a single way of thinking.

Modes of action

This group of support,  so called Group of July First, 2018 in favour of the Francophony, is opened to all the practitioners of the French language, the citizens of the world, the writers, the singers, the scientists, the musicians, the teachers, the painters, the actors, the journalists.

On the occasion of public speaking, the reference to this group allows to slow down the expression of the support for the Francophony, to give meaning and value to it,  and to make him acquire a wider audience with all the stakeholders.

The members who join the Group of support, so called Group of July First, 2018 in favour of the Francophony make a commitment to act in a respectful way face to face of quite different person, whether she is in agreement or not with this Group of support.

They make a commitment to act in a positive and constructive influence and an action in favour of the Francophony.

The modalities of action and influence can be of any order: promotion at any ages of the teaching of the French language, the publication of works and articles in French, promotion of events or actors in favour of the Francophony.

Les grandes langues parlées à travers le monde sont l’anglais, le chinois, l’arabe, l’espagnol, le russe, le français…

Seules quelques langues disposent d’une influence universelle, en étant présentes sur les cinq continents, et en étant reconnues comme une langue d’intermédiation largement usitée entre langues vernaculaires.

L’anglais répond aujourd’hui à cette caractéristique.

Le français, langue indo-européenne, ayant progressivement intégré de nombreux éléments d’autres langues, celte, grecque, latine, arabe, …répond encore partiellement à cette caractéristique.

La diversité est source de civilisation et de richesse des modes de pensée et d’action.

Laisser la place unique à l’anglais comme langue universelle constituerait un recul de civilisation.

Conforter le français comme seconde langue universelle ouvrirait le chemin au caractère universel à d’autres langues.

Par la diversité des chemins et des cultures ainsi soutenue,  le soutien de la francophonie contribue à forger la capacité des langues vernaculaires, locales et régionales, à préserver leur existence et leur développement.

La défense de la francophonie est ainsi un acte résistant contre toute tentative d’hégémonie ou d’impérialisme qui voudrait imposer un seul chemin, un seul mode de pensée.

Modes d’action

Ce groupe de soutien, dit du premier juillet 2018 en faveur de la Francophonie, est ouvert à tous les praticiens de la langue française, citoyens du monde, écrivains, chanteurs, scientifiques, musiciens, enseignants, peintres, acteurs, journalistes, ….

A l’occasion de prises de parole publiques, la référence à ce groupe permet de démultiplier l'expression du soutien à la Francophonie, de lui donner de la valeur et du sens,  et de lui faire acquérir une plus large audience auprès de toutes les parties prenantes.

Les membres qui se joignent à ce Groupe de soutien  dit du premier juillet 2018 en faveur de la Francophonie s'engagent à agir de manière respectueuse vis à vis de toute autre personne, qu'elle soit en accord ou non avec ce Groupe de soutien.

Ils s'engagent à agir dans une influence et une action positives et constructives en faveur de la francophonie.

Les modalités d'action et d'influence peuvent être de tout ordre: promotion à tous âges de l'enseignement de la langue française,  publication d’ouvrages et d’articles en français, promotion d'événements ou d'acteurs en faveur de la francophonie.
