Buildings to infinity. Guangzhou (Canton), more than ten million inhabitants, by the River Pearls, province of Guandong, one of the most dynamic provinces of China

On the road between Canton and Shenzhen, two hundred kilometers of buildings and diverse constructions almost without discontinuity, with construction sites all the length

Shenzhen, thirty years ago, there was nothing. Now, a city of several million inhabitants with 400 meters towers. It was to compete with Hong-Kong, but now, by adjoining both of them, it becomes one giant megacity, combining very high-technology industrial factories, world seaport of first rank, and one of the biggest densities of inhabitants in the square meter.

Buildings in Hong-Kong, on the road which goes to the airport conquered on the sea. The territory still possesses land uninhabited reserves of greenery, for how long?

With such a human density, how to conciliate the balances of life, the conviviality in city, the efficiency of companies and public services, drinking water, energy, transport, education, health, security, in .......? How to maintain a sustainable harmony between the various members of the society? How to protect spaces for life, relaxation, meetings and ressourcement? What will be the town and country planning and the development of the terrories? Which relations between megacities between their? Between these megacities, the intermediate cities and the countryside? Which mode of development will be promoted, looks for of the efficiency of energy at the source, with the strict limitation of CO2 emissions and pollution???

What impact the questions of health and to be well they are going to have on the choices of way of life and development? What role plays the maritime dimension of the Delta of the River of Pearls in its opening on the world and its development? What balances tomorrow and types of governance between the Center Beijing and the megacities and countries in development? How in this context are going to evolve the personal freedoms within the collective project of China? And so many other questions for China which is in some cable lengths to become the first economic world power.

And for us, for whom the development, connected by our imports and exports with, is linked by the development of Asia, which consequences of in terms of geopolitical, social, economic, cultural points of view ???
